Pug-Os Beach Cleanup Drive

This is the launching project of Project Blue Ilocos (PBI). We did a beach cleanup on Pug-Os Beach, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur. The beach is about 2km long and the cleanup took around 2 hours.

There were a total of 20 sacks of trash collected in the cleanup, and some data about the trash found on the shores of the beaches in the province was gotten. Some of the most abundant trashes found were cigarette butts, plastic bottles, disposable plastic utensils, and fishing gear including nets, buoys/floats, and cloth. The organization also donated 3 drums to act as trash bins with proper waste segregation. A post-cleanup talk regarding RA 9003 and a brief introduction of the new org.

*The project was in partnership with Ilocos Sur Environmental Enthusiasts (ISEE), Alpha Kappa Rho - Lapog Chapter, and Brgy. Pug-Os, Cabugao

Three (3) trash bins were also donated and installed on May 2021.

Underwater Cleanup on San Esteban Coral Reefs

During a fundive in San Esteban, we came across a spot on the corals which looked like an underwater dump site. We removed the trash in the spot, and saw ridiculous things like food cans and a rug.
